Thread regarding Follett layoffs

fired for nothing

Another great manager was fired for no concrete reason yesterday after helping secure the company a huge contract with a new college. Be careful out there, everyone. And to the people who have been let go recently, keep your chins up. The best is yet to come. It must be.

As we have seen over the past 5 years, when the company wants you gone, they will find a "reason", doesn't matter if it is valid or not. We can all become suddenly stupid in the eyes of management.

screwed up is simple. Details? What was the screw up? What did it cost? This company is led by screw ups. What does it take to be canned?

OP is someone who screwed up and got fired. It is quite amusing OP trying to air grievances in form of third party victim complex.

The best is yet to come, At your next job! Follett is a terrible company. It fully transistioned to self sabotage, eat your own, mean, dysfunction happened 4 years ago. This company may enjoy lighter moments, but good times are not returning.

Unless you're tied to this dump by age and proximity to retirement, or some other disability that makes you unhirable, you need to look for new work. Doing anything else is abusing yourself, your family and your career.
