Rumor floating around they hired a bunch of the engineers let go in some honeywell business recently.
I hope it’s true bc, the way this place is going, having other options is a great feeling.

The labor market is tight right now. There are lots of opportunities out there for people who can make an effective argument for their value as an employee. It's free to send out resumes and do some interviews. All it takes is some effort on your part, so why not?
One of the managers laid off 1.5 years ago came back as a sub-contractor recently.
Why lay people off when it is annual performance review time... and the lower nine blocks can be let go in 90 days.

Confirmed. Not only were there some of the ones that where RIF-ed but others walked out with no notice.
Makes sense. The former leader of the fire/life safety business was recently named co-chairman of the board, and he was well respected and knows that there are some talented engineers available. Wouldn't be shocked to more people from the fire business move there.
