Going overnights for a period of time as a day time associate

Does anyone know what the rule is for going overnights and a difference in pay? I’m a supervisor who was asked to go to nights for a period of time and am curious if I’m supposed to get the extra .50¢ right away or is there some sort of time I need to be overnight before receiving it. I’ll be overnight for about 1.5 months. I’m not letting them take advantage of me. Thanks

You can give the associate a differrential for a pay period thru the Smart system in Job History by secondarying them 18/994/999 You will have to enter the Beginning date of the pay period and ending date of the pay period. You will also need to know the club password.

If a day associate is working 2 or more weeks overnight, there is a secondary job code differential they can give you. When they give you the specific secondary job code, your rate will bump up the following pay period

I am a PTC. Management open up a

requisition in Career Preference

using correct job code but as a temp position as opposed to pt or

ft. Just make sure that you can go back to your position when the time is up.

If any position change is for more than 12 weeks it needs a (temporary) requisition and job code change. This will ensure you are paid correctly.

2 week waiting period then you’re entitled to make the shift differential. Make sure you tell your PTC so you get it

Reach out to the People Partner in your area. The name and intact information of this person should be on the “open door poster” located in the training room and breakroom. If not posted, utilize the WIRE or ask the PTC for the People Partners contact info. If you are have email, I suggest that you ask the question via email vs a phone call.

I’m sure many responses to your question will be posted but the correct answer bepends on several factors like state, correct job code, etc. Please do not take the answers that you receive on this site and run with them - contact the People Partner.
