GE burning the furniture to heat the house

With the announcement that GE is selling Jenbacher and Waukesha it seems that the only option JF has is to sell non core business. I work for Aviation but at Unison, so I think it is highly likely that my unit will be sold. Any other Unison person that see this outcome?

@Ron, your lips to God's ears. I'm at a very profitable Unison shop as well. I would like to be sold. Tired of supporting weak businesses for nothing.

I would be shocked if JF sells Unison. My shop alone sells $350MM internally and supports LEAP.

Flannery is part of the GE culture problem. Bankruptcy will be sooner that we think.

Not sure flannery can turn this around, the issue is GE leadership. GE needs to clean house at the top in every division. GE used to be the leader in every business unit they ran. It now has turned into what can you do for me in this quarter for cash flow and what quick fix do you have for me. There are no future plans in place to be # 1. Time to break it all up. Then watch the businesses flourish or go bankrupt.

The only outcome will be bankruptcy. The mess is too deep, the debt is too high, the bad decisions too damaging and the incompetence of management is too severe for there to be anything but an almighty train wreck.
