pto

Anybody have some of their pto missing? Last check stub I had 80 hrs. pto available, and 30 hrs. protected. This weeks check stub says I have 5.78 hrs. available, and 85.78 hrs. protected. I earn about 12 hrs. every 2 weeks, so, thats about 30 Im missing.

I had 80 hours of PTO, 40 hours of PTO in protected PTO.

About 45 hours transferred to protected PTO making protected PTO about 85 hours

Now i have just a little bit PTO in available PTO

The math doesn't add up.... I'm missing about 35 hours of PTO as well....

What is the protected pto? Is that the "bucket" that they put our old sick pay in? The one we can't use for ourselves? Only relatives or spouses/partners?

Yes. My PTO did the same thing. It all moved to my protected PTO? My HR of course knows nothing, club manager says ask HR because she has no clue. No communication about it. Typical as always.

If your protected PTO is less than 80 and you have regular PTO left it will transfer to your protected PTO to get it up to 80. The protected PTO will carry over and regular PTO, if you have any left, will be paid out.

I know in CA, due to legal issues, they created the protected PTO. Whatever hours you had left when they made the change, 80 went to protected PTO the remainder were paid out last pay check and accumulation started again.
