Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

How about we bring it down a bit?

There’s anger and frustration, but it is mind blowing what humana employees are saying to each other, the insults and name calling. This is still a public forum, and as such, ANYONE can access it and read it, including your members, if they google “humana layoffs”, and it would be embarrassing if they saw that side of HAH. This is NOT just a site for humana employees, it is public, as you may be checking the sites of other companies you may be interviewing with to see what you can find out about them....please be mindful of what you are accusing people of, and calling them.

In Internet slang, a "troll" is a person who enjoys starting quarrels or upsetting people by posting inflammatory messages in an online community. The troll's intent is to provoke others into an emotional response or disrupt the on-topic discussion, often for the troll's own amusement. Do not feed the trolls. 👹

I am a little older so when I hear troll, the only troll I know of is the one who hid out under the bridge in the Billy Goats Gruff. I had to Google it. It appears to me that when people disagree with someone on this site, they (at times) call them "trolls". I mean, if my only purpose was to go online to p*** people off, I imagine there would be more interesting places to go online to do that. This little site with this little group of HAH home people could not seriously be that satisfying for a troll.

Sad to say some are opening themselves up for ridicule by suggesting they are smarter or better employees. No one wants to read that kind of stuff.

Keep in mind the trolls on here say and do whatever they think will rile up people. They may not even be Humana employees, just people who enjoy causing drama.

Calling out Humana for what it actually is, has done, and so on, I cannot agree more.

The name calling, dismissive behavior among ourselves here...not cool. The OP is right-- things are rough enough for all concerned on this site. I've already been riffed-- grateful for the cord to finally be cut. I've been concerned for everyone remaining... Louisville and GB and so many other locations must just be a stress bomb waiting to happen. Please take care of yourselves, please be kind... everyone is in a vulnerable-feeling place right now....

One of the OP' S points is that we are name calling each other. I agree 100% that the name calling has gotten way out of hand!

I believe the OP has a valid point that many people on this site are being disrespectful to each other--fellow employees, mind you--not the corporate giant. OP is asking that we be a little kinder to each other, not the situation. We are all hurting enough; no need to insult and argue with one another. Let's try to help each cope in some productive way instead of beating each other up for differences of opinion.

I don't think that former Members would be shocked. I know when I was "let go", I had Mbrs reach out to me on social media. Trust me, I didn't have kind words for Humana, nor do I have to. Also, it's public, but anonymous. Those who were riffed, when others were left behind, many of whom SHOULDN'T be by all rights, is beyond just "head scratching", and being an anonymous forum, they have every right to voice their frustration and distaste for a company that has lied, misrepresented, driven to panic attack, and financially destroyed so many. They hired then fired, full well knowing that was the plan. They are STILL advertising for many of their positions. It's an abomination, and I, personally, have NO issues with anyone calling them out for what they are.
