Round 2 coming soon, Michigan area Detroit,Pontiac,Flint,Saginaw,Lansing and Grand Rapids..List also includes Area Managers (2nd level) . It’s only about to get worse..TFS and IEFS are merging..more layoffs expected.

TFS and IEFS merger ? It would make sense to reduce upper management redundancy therefore significantly reducing costs. But how ? There are two separate contracts and pay scales for union employees. Head count reduction definitely but merger is not very likely. If it were to happen it probably won’t happen until next contract somewhere around 2020. Unfortunately many of us won’t be here to see that change as a result of technological advancements in wireless and fiber. If the merger with Time Warner goes through allowing them to become a major player in content providing good luck to us all !! There will be more layoffs or as the company likes to say workforce alignments to help effectively and efficiently provide services to customers while focusing on the needs of the shareholders.
