The heart is gone from this division. No one on my team feels comfortable or cared for any longer. And before anyone starts in with the "it's business crap" just stop. We all know it's business, but it's also a business that has preached to us for years about how much they cared about us and how we were a family.

It's against the law for them to record your personal space. Don't be so paranoid
I am a RIFd associate but I can tell you that not all computers have microphones. Mine required an external microphone. I actually joked with one of the IT guys when picking up a new computer last year about Humana recording us. He laughed and said most computers do not have that capability. Plus there are thousands of WAH associates. You guys are paranoid
Cover your camera also.
There is a microphone in your computer! Hence the microphone button.
Laptops have a camera and microphone. Sorry this is old news
Without a microphone they have no way of listening to you via your computer. Nice try though!
They listen to your home office through your computer. It is legal because they say it is their equipment. Do not say anything near your computer.
The chat is not a safe zone...it is monitored, and we were even told in training to be careful with the chat. My coach has contacted me after I’ve put something in the chat that she felt was inappropriate. We were told in training to text or call on our home lines, if we wanted to talk with each other and our coach has said the chat is not for socializing, but for sharing information
RIFd HCM RN this time around and learned very early that Humana was all talk, but no action. They say do something because it sounds right, but they don't actually expect you to do it. Things said in chat would be referenced out of context at later times in a negative tone from coach even though we were told they were safe zones. I gave them my best and that wasn't what they wanted. I was told I spent too much time making calls and helping members. Isn't that what Humana requested as of recent? Quality not Quantity, but I wasn't meeting peer average for the week. WAIT! I thought that was no longer an expectation? I think parting ways is the best option for me since Humana is obviously clueless and not a fit for me. I'll happily take the money and go another direction with my career.
I will stay and ride the roller coaster till it falls off the track, then take my severance and a little paid vacation and find another job at another company that would do the exact same if they needed to.
I have allegiance to Humana , for now, because I love working from home, it fits my lifestyle now, and I will continue to try to make myself as valuable to Humana as I can.
OP agree with you and the other post both. Have an escape plan but until ready to pull the plug keep doing the best you can. Don’t personalize is right- don’t make an allegiance to a company that has not made one to you.
It is hard every time it happens. But we stay here. Working. Doing our best. I am sorry but this is a company. It has more perks than most I have gotten a paycheck from and therefore I stay. I cannot personalize business decisions
Totally agree.
Agreed. The damage is done. Granted the business won’t see the ramifications because for every person that leaves either willingly or unwillingly there will be another to take their place. Sure working from home is a major perk, can’t deny that, but now everyone knows we are on the proverbial chopping block. People newly hired in won’t know the fear and numbness we feel after the past year. You feel bad that others have to go and you get to stay or you feel bad that others have to stay and you get to go. Perspective! Gonna be a lot of shuffling and major big change. If you’re staying, keep looking, keep searching for other jobs. Have an escape plan.
