Scan and go

I pay for my membership so why use scan n go are self check. They don’t understand that it’s a service that people don’t want. That’s why the adoption percentage isn’t there. They can put 3 people at door boasting what a fabulous way to skip the line, yelling across the store self checkout debit or credit come on down. People do not understand how to use the self check they so in a hurry they stand waiting for the host because they can’t follow the prompts of hitting finish and pay etc...or credit key, where do I put the cash. Looks like this is the way of the future less than 10% of people using these services. Hate to say doubt we will be around in 5 years. I worked for a previous company which was very successful new CEO ran it into the ground they closed up every week he wanted to change people processes less labor etc... Sam’s club invest in labor and people will start to soar again, keep pushing the path you are be left behind always last.

It’s always the old people at our club too who want everything located, checked out, and loaded into their vehicles for them here too.

Our mx voices is a disaster since the new register system hit. If you have a young millennial demographic shopping at your club it will work. But the old people who are friends with the Jewelry TLs of the world struggle to adapt to things like self check and scan and go. Most of them don’t even own smart phones. They want to be waited on at every turn and even ask their gas to be pumped at the station.

I don’t even know how many member sat gift cards we have handed out or dumped overloaded carts because only one register is open. We are losing sales because we have so many old members who won’t change with the time.

Adoption rate at my club is over 10%. Get with the future or die. Time for old people to give up in Society if they can't adapt.

Honestly the self-service options are for the people who are tired of being hassled by the cashier for credits and upgrades. It's also for the people that use someone else's membership card. And lastly, for the five finger discounts members that get away with it.

I hate it when a cashier mis-handles my food. Plus I saved 50% without any coupons.

Amazon literally made a store where people do not have to interact with a cashier at all and can not pay in cash. People are loving the idea so your argument is invalid..

The same people who don’t want to use self check are the people still writing checks instead of swiping a debit card..
