U.S. Bank gave employees below management paygrades a $1000 bonus in January, but then silently had lay-offs in many divisions including Payments. The process is being called a "talent optimization" internally with management and a "separation" with the affected employees. Employees are given a "separation package" that is between 1-3 months of pay in exchange for a signed NDA that the former employee will not publically speak bad about U.S. Bank.
