Banded Leaders Part of the Problem

PepsiCo's problem is that they have people doing jobs that they can't do. The Quality organization is being run by people who dont know what to do or can't do it. Many people spending millions of dollars without being able to deliver anything of substance. Scorecards are made up and no one is held accountable at the SVP, VP or Banded positions it's actually embarrassing to be a part of..... Indra should look into PQP spending and what was delivered before the layoff as she could get rid of the past 2 PQP leaders and the current SVP..... totally useless. The Old PBC folks should go as well, do they bring enough value to a shrinking segment to justify their large compensation packages. Last time I checked PepsiCo was a public company not a charity. Good luck fellow PepsiCo team members.

What you’re missing, dzd, is why the f--- would you continue to be part of such an organization. Vote with your feet, get out. But what I’m guessing is you don’t have the skills to find another job, so you hang around as dead wood and contribute to the problem.

Most banded people that rose the ranks did so because of lies, subterfuge, and a-- kissing. They have no real skill but they were identified as being leaders by the people above them. pepsi defines leaders to mean someone who will take orders without question and continually accept sh--tier jobs with double or triple the workload for lesser pay. hence the massively imported labor and socialist like hierarchy. but just like socialism never works in the long run neither will this system. This company will go the way of venezuela eventually. I only wish the investors knew.

Here's the map to making a career at Pepsi listen up kids!

Your boss is always right. even is he/she is an incompetent nitwit.

Say yes to everything, even is it's borderline harassment. Don't worry the powers that be will protect it's key personnel unless the offense is repeated or extra bad.

Accept being lied to from all your superiors and especially your boss.

Be in some type of protected diverse identity group, just being just a female or minority isn't enough anymore, you need to step it up and be a le---an female or maybe transgender. if youre part of one of the mafia groups youre in luck! you have an entire team of people who will cover your a-- and make you seem better than you are.

Work on your projects and shift the blame to someone else if it doesn't work. if it has high visibility immediately take all the credit and make it seem like you were the most important person even if you did nothing but type a few emails.

Continually burn money on useless projects then claim success, remember even if you wasted a few million, it was 'still a learning opportunity' right? Don't worry cause a banded person you won't get the blame.

Am I missing anything else?

You’re right about PQP. We’ve seen millions spent to adopt complicated standards, systems, and procedures that no one knows how or has the time to use. In the end, our products aren’t really safer or better quality. Instead, they cost more to develop and to manufacture. Sounds like progress we can all be proud of!
