I was wondering if somebody could tell me how long after a layoff is severance received?
I'm just curious if it's an immediate thing or if you have to wait for it a certain amount of time.
Considering that there is no more job security of any kind at Sam's Club, it'd be nice to be informed in advance about things like this.

When your 60 days is up, you receive a letter in the mail asking if you want your severance. You must sign a document return it asap. Then you will receive your one lump payment. But I do not know how long it takes once they receive the signed letter.
Is severance paid in a one lump sum check ?? Or how is it paid out?
My last day was dec 1st and rec mine dec 28th paycheck, but had got my paperwork out next day I had rec it.
