No, 50 or more is the requirement.
THats assuming the magic 250 number
Thanks for the information. That really helps
The WARN Act requires that the employer provide 60 days written notice of the intention to lay off more than 50 employees during any 30-day period.
WARN offers protection to workers, their families and communities by requiring employers to provide notice 60 days in advance of covered plant closings and covered mass layoffs.
In general, employers are covered by WARN if they have 100 or more employees, not counting employees who have worked less than 6 months in the last 12 months and not counting employees who work an average of less than 20 hours a week.
That also means the CHEs will be cut down to just a few. There will be no need for the Wellness Ed pilot. So in other words, the CHEs are screwed. It makes me angry how hard I have worked in hopes of staying. I have always been one of the top producers but it's not going to matter this time. They will prob only keep the bilingual CHEs regardless of their metrics.
Well last RIF date was Nov 2. Makes sense to me that it would be 2/2 but just a guess.
Humana will still give the required 60 day notice, it's the law. However, they may just release is immediately. We will still get severance.
What constitutes a mass layoff for Humana? Just wondering what that number would be. It makes a big difference if you get a 60 day notice and severance. If The program is dissolved and you are terminated immediately do you get anything ?
If the Live Healthy program will end by end up Feb, then layoff notifications would have to come within the next few weeks.
A 60 day notice is required for a mass layoff for this company so if the timing is correct, the confidential emails would be by early Feb with an early release to account for program dissolving.
We know the final employment date will be before the second quarter starts so it’s between now and beginning of February
So now we have a third proposed layoff date?? INSideinfo said Jan. 18, Coach 22 said early Feb, and now this poster is saying end of February. I'm sure we would all like to know the actual layoff notification date, and then we can count 60 days afterward for final termination date.
Laid off the end of February, or last day end of February?
