When you are repeatedly not appreciated, you get:

ap·a·thy

ˈapəTHē

noun

lack of interest, enthusiasm, or concern.

It is very difficult to cure this particular ill. Get out now.

“There’s nothing worse than feeling unseen and unheard in the workplace,” says Annie McKee, author of How to Be Happy at Work. “We all have a human need to be appreciated for our efforts, and so when your colleagues don’t notice [your contributions], it makes you feel as though you don’t belong.” You might also start to worry – justifiably – about your potential professional advancement. “Self-doubt starts to creep in, and you think, ‘If no one notices what I’m doing, how am I going to get ahead?’”

Raise or no, it's time to leave. For real. For many, this is a strong job market. Just like you plan for rush, just like you plan for adoptions, plan for your next job. No excuses. Do it.

If we go yet another year without raises, it's definitely time to start looking.

Haha OP I was thinking the same thing. I was for certain I was going to see all the new year resolutions about leaving Follett. January is not over yet so there's still time. LOL

The butchers are normally quiet.

Good of you to notice that's it been quiet. If you classify what is posted here as simply complaining, the cool-aid keeps you good and numb. Also, campus shut downs make it hard to abuse folks. This week quarter campuses come back online. It'll pick up.
