I ( 13 years w big red) had asked my useless manager (8 years w big red) if he's heard anything about vz getting rid of the commission structure. He gave me the "oh naw, naw. You know we don't play when is comes to da checks ya heard". (Wtf?) I remember hearing it Nov 2016 when we riffed rss. With the increase in quota and the decrease in the ability to obtain it, I would think they would get rid of it. Anyone hear anything? WBV region here.

The big thing now is to slam One Talk lines onto business accounts without them even knowing. Just quote them on a "Business Unlimited Plan" and then slam One Talk on there, and tell them they are a getting a "VIP phone line that comes with the plan."
There's no way any of this lasts much longer. What you're witnessing is this stuff being bled dry before Verizon wipes out retail sales over the next 2-3 years.
With the whole retail transformation I don’t understand how they will want us to sale without customer interaction. Every 6 months for the last three years this job has gotten sh--ter. Ever since the HUM it’s a f---ing joke. Comcast is less shady than the no use new lines f--- boy reps slam on people’s accounts.
Commissions will go away because like you said its outdated and doesnt work anymore. When theres only 50% of salesreps at some store even making a check then the payout structure is broken. I believe Verizon will take away commissions completly and give you a bump in hourly ($3 to $6 depending on the market youre in) also i believe the top three reps at a location will get monthly spiffs for example 1st place rep will get a $1,200 spiff 2nd place rep will get a $950 spiff and 3rd place rep will get a $650 spiff. This will keep a majority of the reps hungry and they will continue to try to obtain those spiffs while others might just clock in and do the bare minimum to get by.
