I was a former CWA represented vzw employee am non working in a different location non union it is a night and day difference non union is better. If you decide to join a union and win a election with 50 percent plus one your bargaining will be dragged out until the wireline sides contract is up in 2019 you will be called to go out on strike no paycheck or benefits did ity for seven weeks. This is a sales job if you cannot get with the program get THE F--- OUT AND FIND SOMETHIING ELSE TO DO. The only union left in in VZW retial is in Brooklyn New York and I tell you that the company is spending money and resource to break the union and they will win no question in that. The company is firing people left and write in Brooklyn because they want to break the union and there is nothing the union can do to save jobs.

If you join the union it may not help you at all, but at least you can feel good inside that you helped some mafioso maintain his standard of living and helped the older employees get more. Too bad no one will be there for you when you are the older employee. But someone has to be holding the bag, right? Very generous of you.
