Don’t be mad a reps making 80k just because you can’t. They do deserve it because they greatly exceeded the goals set forth by the company. The company is greedy with the recent huge jump in quotas. They are will not have to lay off reps. They paid them 3-4K last year same month. This month this year they’ll get nearly the same output for around a grand. It’s brilliant on their part. They will lose the bulk of quality ppl and those numbers will trend down. Then they’ll have to go back to paying like that for a few years to get the trend back that high. Then they’ll do it again. As for the original question of this post yes my money has gone down. 2015=100k. 2016=95k. 2017 YTD 84k. They are paying for yahoo with our commission
Oh, Verizon retail. One of the rare places where you can find people complaining about making over $30/hr to do the same job they do over at Best Buy for $12/hr. I swear, retail reps are so spoiled. Newsflash! You don't deserve to make $80,000 slinging cell phones just because you've grown accustomed to making it. Y'all need perspective. Or Jesus.
I'll be over here making my $45,000 with my tuition paid in full and high-matching 401k laughing like a schoolgirl at all of my friends who work grueling, stressful 9-5 jobs with sh-- benefits that they had to have a degree they paid for to get while making the same salary.
Made less each year over past 4 years, but I'm selling more and doing more, only job you can get a raise each year yet make less money....I'm out this sinking ship at end of year.
Last year I finished at 81k this year I will finish around 64k. The last 6 months the absurd quotas have dropped me from hitting 1.7-1.8 to hitting .9-1.0.
First year $56,000
Second year $48,000
Third year (YTD through Aug)
$26,000.
I quit and went to work for FedEx. I can assure as an manager that the company will be closing stores down and has been preparing for this for about 3 years now... They cut HR, they got rid off ALL inventory specialists, and they got rid of managers. They were making me send reps who aren't heavy hitters coachings so they can get fired. And the people who are arrogant and think they can't be touched are most likely the first to go since their hourly is high. Commission targets were raised on purpose to get rid of reps and hire new ones at a lower pay and not to mention they sold off every tower they own... Sounds like a company hanging on to dear life to me... Verizon is no longer at the Growth or Maturity stage they are at a Decline. 5 years from now store jobs won't exist and T-Mo will be #1. It has been written, it shall be done.
"Retail Store Employees has your pay went up or down this year
if your pay has went down how much has it went down this year ???"
That phraseology strikes me as peculiar. Is English your native language, or maybe it's a regional thing? I'm accustomed to hearing "gone up" and "gone down" used in the expressions above. I'm not trying to be the grammar police. I have a genuine interest in regional expressions.
I was pacing to hit 74k, hit 69k last year. However I'm at 59k ATM, q3 and q4 I went from hitting 1.6s to 1.0s. I have 2 solid job interviews shortly. Both are second round interviews. I want out badly...
Lost 8 grand....hoping to make up for it next year with a severance!
This is my 7th year with the company and I made the most I have made in a year by $6000. That being said, with all of the recent changes, 2018 isn't looking too promising.
I’m taking a $18,000(loss) haircut this year.
