Is it safe to join SPVSS at this time? Please advise.
You need some updates mate. Paris is completely closed. Since last October.
It's a real shame. NDS used to be the world leader at what they do (and I've worked for a few players in the CA space).
Cisco completely ** them. I got cut in 2014 from SPVSS and it worked out well in the end so there's hope for life after Cisco!
The "selling NDS" rumors have gone quiet, is the sale dead.
It sounds a bit far fetched to say that YK was looking to run NDS down. She came in at a point where Cisco knew they were in big trouble making it work. So there is an element of "you are already dead" here. Also Cisco hasn't got the patience to re-structure anything, if it's not gushing quarterly cash then it's gone - just buy something else and mess that up :)
All Cisco execs seem super confident in their abilities to do things - but when the rubber hits the road and they come up way short it becomes a game of self preservation. So YK didn't stay too long at that assignment, but can you blame her?
Blackberry will buy SPVSS.
Hoping the shadow can throw some light on this. On a side note, a huge number of SPVSS engineers keep visiting this page to know the latest about cisco. When SPVSS is eventually sold off, there will be a loss of traffic!
I have heard from several people that YK was interviewed for a position at NDS but was deemed to be a poor applicant and no offer made.
Can anyone here confirm this?

She did such an awesome job with NDS she got promoted.
She was so excited.
Then another awesome job with Cisco cloud and SDN.
Then on to the head the Service Provider business.

They've let a lot of good people go, and no don't have the ability to support the customers. It's not just dead weight now that is being culled. Seems like it's being cut down to skeleton crew, sailing the ghost ships.
