Lots of interesting cloud partnerships out there: SFDC runs on AWS and now also has a deal to run on Google cloud; SFDC also has a deal with IBM Watson; now SAP and MSFT Azure have struck a deal to run SAP cloud apps in Azure. Et tu oracle? The wall floor with the fat butt that nobody wants to dance with? Can’t win alone, that’s for sure.

Oracle wouldn't have become the mega company it is today without the cash flow that came from its high prices and support/upgrade fees. It funded its Apps growth and acquisitions. However, it also ended up pissing up a lot of customers who ended up paying mega millions each year only to (1) be audited and extorted out of more money and (2) be told that their upgrade fees didn't include access to the most desirable new features as those were new "products" or "packs" that weren't included. It has been a long time coming, but the narcissism and greed the fueled Oracle's rise is now feeding its downfall.

Oracle doesn't have anything that anyone else needs.
Oracle, the pariah of the tech industry. What an ignominious end for LE and oracle. There is a cost, in fact a very high one, to being a total ass
None of the movers and shakers in the tech industry wants anything to do with Oracle
