Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Follett really needs to give us a raise

The management conferences are a complete waste of time and money, particularly in light of the current state of affairs of the company. They are meant to be morale boosters but morale would be boosted better by giving a meager pay increase each year. I have never worked for a company on a pay freeze for 3+ years. 1, 2, 3%... Come on and throw us a bone.

This, a thousand times this, @Qiwgd2f-tqz. The cost of living keeps going up each year, and yet we are stuck at the same pay. You can't do this to your workers and not expect to see morale plummet.

Ever notice how they are always giving to charities? The gazillion emails we receive about all the good they're doing in the world, even asking us to give part of our paychecks to these organizations? Perhaps to cover up all their wrongdoing?

And yet, their employees are severely struggling financially.

They are liars.

Don't take it personally. Their antipathy isn't directed at you as a person. They don't see your role as important. They don't value your work or yor contribution. If you want your work to be valued, you need to find a new employer.

follett hasn't cared in a long time. Insisting that they adhere to values they, long ago, jettisoned, is futile. It's an abusive company. If you can find work, you owe to yourself to find another job. Don't wait.

They spend plenty on these redundant conferences. Their "Attaboy" doesn't go very far when we can't pay our bills. A raise would help some. At least, I would feel that they somewhat give a crap about keeping employees. It is really sad that they can't give a minimal increase. But I'm sure they don't miss out at the top. Get their bonuses every year, plus very good wages. So much for "trickle down" economy.

None of you get it. Follett hasnt done anything that makes sense in over 5 years. Dont waste your time or sanity getting frustrated with the bad decisions. Either get out now or ride it out and hope for the best. No matter what you say, do, or think the company will do something completely stupid and its not worth the stress.

After a pay freeze comes the pay decrease.

I am sure the higher ups are not on any pay freezes.

Still... a pay freeze for three years??? Or four?? It's insane. The longest I've ever gone on a pay freeze anywhere else is one year.

Follett gets money from its vendors to pay for conference so they really don't spend what you think.
