The call centers just offered a severance package and many people on the east coast took it.
Can anybody please confirm if this is true? Does this mean they didn't actually decide who gets laid off and are letting us choose if we want to leave or not? What happens if not enough people accept the severance?
I’m a wireline rep out of NJ. It’s called an enhanced EISP. No BS.. they offer it about every 5-7 years. Was only east coast from what I know. Easy to prove on our union website. Whole lot of people in multiple states took it. I’ve been with the company 19 years. I’ve never seen anything like this in my career. They were finding anything to get rid of you.
Associates (Union) were given an offer.
RIF is for management and not a choice.

It is suppose to be two weeks pay per year worked up to 35 weeks. How did you manage to get 50k + 2200 per year? What position? Higher up position I am inclined to believe it. Call center agent, I call bs.
I personally took the Severence package on the east coast. It was voluntary. $50k + $2200 per year with 6 months benefits. 47 people out of about 150 in our office took it. The micromanaging and over all vibe in the office was horrible. Glad I’m out!
