Ive been here over 8 years. Never seen anyomr get let go by phone, but im just enrollment, and not corporate like "Laid off by phone".

To the person who asked, most layoffs happen by suddenly getting a mandatory, meeting planner invite to go to a conference room. There, they let you all know. Ive seen it over 5 times unfortunately.

As for the magic layoff date of the 11th? Another arbitrary date?? I cannot imagine there would be layoffs on the day that tuition reductuons will be announced. JMO.

Laying someone off over the phone is the type of crap taught at UOPX.

9z11- once again shows the incompetence of management. Clean up needs to start at the top.

I was laid off over the phone. I was at a lunch meeting with business leaders representing the University.

Needless to say, not a single one of them will send an employee to UOPX. They couldn’t even wait an hour for me to get back.

How do people find out? Do they come in to work to find accounts disabled or is it a middle of the day meeting?

Losing good people will only accelerate the collapse of UOP. I hope they are paying severance.

Deep cuts on the 11th. They realize they are going to lose good people but they have to reduce to make the money they want.

Im sure there will be cuts sometime, but I dont think it will be as bad as everyone thinks. The college is "tiny" compared to what it used to be. I dont know how much further they could go.

As for cuts this Friday, any validity to this or is Camden at it again?

Got to decimate headcount. Too expensive to keep on the teat.

Enrollment continues to fall.

All else is conjecture and/or wishful thinking so stop chasing your own tail.

Simple as that.

SRM/UCP was done to those on the phones and be reduced. Campus closures is taking care of those, IT will have deep cuts and all actions is leading us to deep reductions. Flat pricing is the next steps to more reductions. All news points to reduce.
