First of all, its great that many of you are trying to make yourselves feel better, thinking because there is a bid - you are safe. The company is smarter than you and these things are planned well in advance, by people just like you and people who think like you.

Secondly, there is no additional headcount, its called ghost adjusting for attrition. Attrition that was never backfilled (on purpose). Get my drift.

Lastly, stop looking for signs and focus on your resume, learn a new skillset and move on to another company that is not losing credibility and reputation.

All bids were moved back as they're adjusting headcount needed ....and btw...the adjustment is ADDING headcount.

I am in the Charleston Call Center and they just pushed our bid back! We have been hearing rumors that our center will be closing. It just does not seem the same and you can tell something is going on. I guess it’s a waiting game now.

I worked at the Lincoln, NE call center, we closed March 2016, found out October 2015, we were told we were doing a pilot or some such thing that put us off schedule with the enterprise-wide bid. Its been a while now, but as I recall we all had the same schedule for 15 months. I have nothing but respect for all the members of that call center administration, I am not trying to knock the way they handled our closure, FWIW.

I have also heard in recent days they were added back. Not that it matters really, it's not going to fool anyone. It's still a sinking ship.

They did the same thing before they closed Irvine. Pushed back the bid without telling anyone.

I disagree the way the question is phrased does not require identification of the call center for response. Trolling is taking place by those who are attempting to discredit the post. I as well have herd mnakato.

I'm not sure what center you were initially referring to, but I've heard from a few people that Mankato will not be participating. Nothing has been announced though.

Quite silly to post this and not mention your call center. There are those that could provide a solid answer if you included it.

Makes me wonder if this isn't just another troll

and to say it is a BS sign is ridiculous. The Call Centers assign the shifts based on projected national call volume and staffing among all the centers. Once RM identifies the days and hours that need coverage the schedules are allocated to the centers for bidding. Once the centers have been assigned their schedules that is when seniority and performance come into play.

The center didn't announce it and are actively keeping it under wrap, but it has been leaked out.

with all due respect, that is a b...s... sign. squelch the rumors please. schedule bidding done on performance and seniority basis. it must be done for all centers to provide equality and a "union aware" environment. unless your boss told you that there would be no shift bid, specific to you personally, which means..... sayonara!

That is a bad sign. I am surprised a center would announce that.
