If the people who do the work in the company are getting $1000 pay out, I wonder how much the slackers and dinosaurs in upper management will be getting.

Idle executives and slackers/dinosaurs are different, so sorry.
Fired or layed off is what happens to the people who do the work in this company, execs get separation bonuses and golden parachutes so they can spend more time with the family or pursue other interests.
