If you read the financial reports and estimates you will see the writing is on the wall. Behavioral Health IS gone. It is under reorganization. PHC will be gone, due to changes and required RN or LPN licenses to manage members. The industry as a whole is changing and all the big companies are asking for RN or LPN to do HEDIS, SNP, and anything to do with the case management. If you have an MSW, you might be able to qualify for a role of some kind. It is across the board. Interestingly, enough the already depleted nursing industry are becoming more drained by the increased demand for RN case managers. Humana left the ACA, so prevention work by a PHC is not needed any longer under the new strategy. What ever that strategy is, it continues to align with all the manage care companies. Reduction in costs, Utilization Management, Risk Management, Increase in STARS ratings and HEDIS compliance. Not to mention making the shareholders happy and maintaining profits. Don't hold your breath on hope, just start looking for a new job.
