Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Who helps you now?

If you really needed to get something done, who do you go to for help? Is there anyone who fights the good fight for the stores if necessary? Just wondering who that would be. Ideas?

Depends on the area you need help in. I have a couple good dependable sources. Definitely not HR or customer service help line, (for the customers not our own help line) they will stab SMs in the back. Reach out to SMS in your area, there are good ones.

I got chastised for emailing my buyer because a department wanted to buy 25 expensive blankets and the GS buyer hadn't responded in a week. All emails go through the GM Portal. Who monitors the Portal? Monkeys? Thanks for the $1500 sale loss.

Absolutely no one. I have to send two to three "following up" just to get a response. What? Still no response? Copy their boss. Still no response? Hmm. Imagine that. It's completely discouraging. I try to interact with people as little as possible.
