HCM RN, leaving very soon, set date. PTL and best of luck to all. I am thinking, this will be a high trend going into the new year for many reasons for all. I will be off this crazy train and will not let this horrible employment experience define me- not going to give Humana that power!

Our current nurses will not be replaced. We will continue telephonic alongside in home not in place. Fact!

Makes sense but not my cup of tea. The charting for care managers already consumes my evening. Members call me on the weekends and evenings then that requies a note in Rosalind. Adding home health on top of that would be awful. I have had one interview crossing my fingers, toes, arms and legs! I want my life back. I want shut my car door at night and be done for the day.

True about Medicare reimbursements and IF a Humana member chooses Humana for their Home Health Care ( Medicare members have a choice in their HHC provider), that's gravy.

But I think we'll (Nursing) be in the home for routine visits as our In-Home Care Managers do now.

I think the purchase is to get skilled services like nursing into the home ( lots of talk about nurses practicing at the top of their license) to intervene ( yes, hands on!) with our chronically ill and sickest members ( high utilizers).

Humana is not getting results ( ROI) with the current model of care ( social workers and nurses). A nurse can take BPs, infuse, inject, change dressings. A nurse now in our current model of care can do none of that. These interventions can make a huge impact on our members.

Finally, I think the nurses visiting our members will also CARE MANAGE them. After all, RNs in the home (home health care nurses) already do care management. So I think our current in home care managers will be merged or replaced with skilled nursing who will perform our current CM duties. Very sensical.
