Nuclear fallout

Soon there will be nuclear fallout within 3-6 months with the company. All field managers i know are not happy with the changes. Most are looking for other employment opportunities and will find something shortly. All of the execs that got demoted will not be around long, who sticks around after a demotion? No one. The company will have the same expectations while lowering payroll to an impossible number. What can they expect to happen?

-lower service

-higher shrink

-lower engagement and retention(hell i dont know why anyone lower than an SM/stl stays with the company)

-more lawsuits(working off the clock)

-no time to thoroughly work the truck or warehouse which leads to less sales.

2018 will be an interesting year to say the least. 90% of the stores here in CA are under water. Shelves empty due to shoplifting and couponers. Stores cant even get there load out.

I do not yet know the date, but yes, March is the due date..........5 weeks vacation pay, stock options excised, bonus, of which the IRS will take 50%, but, oh well, what else is new?

face it...Retail is dying...slowly, but dying...profit margins are too slim and continue to shrink..retail won't be worth the effort ..on line shopping will bring the final fall

My Rlpm was let go today. I have a strong feeling LP is next on the chopping block. They never really helped with shrink anyways. Baselines do not improve shrink and they know it

Execs were demoted? Do you mean like area vp’s and regional managers?

I had no idea the re-alignment hit them too!

Larry is really letting everyone know that the company doesn’t see a future in front store. How can 2 employees manage a whole store AND still provide great service? Keep the store neat and clean? Or offer help?

I mean honestly, there is no way! I know some really dedicated front store managers and employees, but there is no way even they could do it.

My guess is Larry doesn’t care about front store all together. He’s focusing on these new health care hubs and phasing out front store. The question is when can we expect these changes to come!????

Lack of transparency within CVS is what makes me so distrustful of everyone above me.

They come to visit stores and smile on your face, but I see them whispering when they turn the corner. Even in store that literally have a 5.0, they still find something you need to become more efficient at.

While my future was beyond a year or so from now, robots are actually being used right now. Walmart is experimenting with them as greeters. They are also being used to count cash. Manufacturing was the first step, retail will be next. There will always be a need for human interaction but retail is the next step for robotics. It will not be long before Larry Merlo has one wiping his butt, for now he will settle for us!
