Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

ECA Layoff

Just got word that the ECA's under Hamidont will be consolidated this quarter. Taking out the redundant management (LE, RL, AL) and cutting out bottom 10% of performers (or upper 10% of age depending on what your methodology is).

This is supposed to be coordinated with a cut of the HW SC's to supposedly achieve economies of scale across the architects.

Looks like the ECA title does not prove to be teflon.

SC's fired last week were storage, not the engineer systems ones. The confirmed hit is in LW, RL, EU, and AL org. Gonna trim out at least one manager and cull the bottom 10%. Merry Christmas

Bottom line is Power monger HW SC and mgmt don’t work with ECA’s.,they don’t like to communicate cloud message to their customers..

Sell HW is the only message from HW SC mgt.

This is going to continue till they get retirement pkg.

You mean the ECA’s don’t have magic wands to fix what’s wrong with the fictional oracle clouds? well, off with their heads then!

The “class of” hub in Austin features a prison with all the frills of a state with laws that protect oracle and fancy digs with low pay . The talent in the Austin “call center” (that’s what it really is) has a bar on site, apartments and a jogging trail on the lake.

Sounds like we're moving back to the "factory town" methodology. They do this in China. Complete complex for the workers. Workers then spend their money there, too. I have a friend who visited a place like this in China. In the dormitories they hung nets in the stairwells to prevent workers from committing suicide by jumping. Great plan.

There is a lot of hallway talk about a huge first quarter layoff at the Redwood city offices and elsewhere. Execs are talking a lot more in the hallways because they think no one is around.

Take this one seriously and keep your ears to the ground

— redwood shores will shrink in Jan/Feb 18 & Austin will open. The “class of” hub in Austin features a prison with all the frills of a state with laws that protect oracle and fancy digs with low pay . The talent in the Austin “call center” (that’s what it really is) has a bar on site, apartments and a jogging trail on the lake. Short sighted college grads will be lured in. It’s a dead end.

Oracle is entering its Bronze Age af decline. LOL.
