Oracle is at it again trying to get money out of google for Java, having lost a whole bunch of lawsuit already. More than anything, this should make it clear to everybody how much oracle’s cloud and other business s---s and therefore how utterly desperate LE is to get a money any way he can. LE simply cannot afford to let go of this, because oracle is going g down the drain, curtesy of Mr. LE’s boneheaded decisions. That internet think, you’ve heard of it? It’s just a joke that’s going to go away, right? No business opportunities there, nothing to worry about, right? Genius!

Controlling Java was a major component of why LE wanted to buy Sun. As soon as the ink was dry on the sale, Oracle started pissing off the java dev community, packaging the JRE installers with crap toolbars and trying to monetize through lawsuits. Some companies are creators some are parasites and destroyer.
LE’s strategy is to do a whole bunch of things to confuse people as much as possible. It’s a total waste of resources, but it distracts from the fact that oracle has lost the cloud wars.

Oracle has decided to get rid of Java starting from the next release, AND to squeeze as much money as they can from Google for the past use of older versions of Java.
