A business model from the 1990's and pay to match!
It's extremely difficult to hire anyone with the low wages whether it's temp work or manager. Prospective employees are shocked when wage is discussed. It's almost comical the responses received.
Spread the word about the low pay and how FT managers now have to double as FT cashiers because they have no front-line help. "Set up your workstation next to the register!" is the new anthem of Follett.
Kind of wonder who they think they're fooling? I wonder how may prospective employees got as far as 1) part-time @ $7.25/hr 2) no benefits 3) crappy hours and got up and walked out. Maybe it's to fool the import staff at the Tower of Misery what a great company they're working for...
