Any news about focal annual salary review this year? Doesn’t it happen in Dec1 if it’s there?

Manager says almost no budget for any increase or bonus. With the tiny budget our Org has 100+ people to feed and has one promotion slot. So don’t expect anything. They are giving out a feel that having a job itself is a bonus.
"Negative, focal effective Jan 1, 2018."
Perhaps, but I suspect that the reviews will be completed and that the "winners" will be notified before the "effective" date. That has been my experience.
I always thought that it was odd that the "losers" don't get told that there's no raise. And I've seen that at places besides Oracle,
I guess they changed to Jan 1 because of the shutdown for Christmas and save money from those small number of folks who might get something since people will be in holiday anyway.
So if Dec 1 comes and goes and you didn't hear anything, then you didn't get a raise.
Negative, focal effective Jan 1, 2018. Not sure when the winners will be notified. Tiny budget.
If you get a raise you will be informed, if not, no one will tell you anything. So if Dec 1 comes and goes and you didn't hear anything, then you didn't get a raise.
How to know if we get one? If not now then when is the next cycle?
FY18 focal is currently going on (salary raise and bonus). But the numbers are real bad. Just don't have too much hope.
Raises & promotions are very unevenly distributed but they do happen for 10-20% of people. (I got both in the past 5 years.)
Confirmed for NAA SaaS no raises except what they gave to the new college hires.
Face it, place s---s. Get out.
You missed one - march 1 (beg of q4) will be layoff city too.
I think the next big layoff will be Dec 1. June 1, Sept. 1, Dec 1. Every quarter.
In that event, they won't have to give any raises. People left will just be happy they made it to Dec 2nd.
as long as we are in a pissing contest.
i got ya all beat with 15+ yrs.
some become complacent and stay because it's a job, some don't have a choice due to personal reasons, some are stuck because they didn't keep up with the marketable skills and working here backs you into a corner, not all ppl are fresh out of college and have a choice to job hop.
@1cf
I thought I was king crap-on with 11 years of no salary action. I relinquish my throne to you at 12 years. But seriously, wtf?
I got bonuses and raises in the first 5 years I was there. Nothing in the last 5 years. 10 years total. Gone downhill seriously in the last few years. It will go downhill more, cause I don't think the cloud offerings will ever really make it against the competition. And, what I saw was a complete destruction of everything "not cloud" while there was a mad, mad scramble to work only on cloud by everyone. Everything else was discarded, some moved to India with no process at all. Everything other than cloud is gone and cloud will not prove out to be a profit-maker in the end.
It's really all over. That's not an exaggeration. That's just what it is. People should be looking around, getting their resume's together, etc.

I concur with the other posters. In my experience raises and bonuses were the exception and it was a genuine surprise the few times that I actually received anything.
12 years and counting for any increase dude, give it up, there are no raises across the board and only a few select engineer types are even considered so unless you're a TK or Larry's best buddy you're getting nada.
My friend, forget about it. You not going to get a salary raise unless you leave. I didn't receive one for the last 5 years I was there. It just does not happen anymore.....
