The rumor is NVA is buying the optical departments. First to transition is Walmart followed by Sams club.

Well told today five in Georgia were sold to NVA
Any new thoughts on what may or may not happen to the optical depts in sams in 2019? Anyone heard anything?
Actually NVA was at Sam's over 18 yrs ago them they were given to Sam's....rumor has it they will be NVA again

We just got a new optical manager and they didn’t go anywhere to train. Sounds like someone is telling stories on here. If they have access to the Wire and our systems, etc...and you are working with them...obviously they are employed with our company.
They are being sold to a third party company. I’ve heard this from several sources. The market optical manager was in our club and I made the comment to my gm “what are they doing here anyway they are being sold to a third party company”. The immediate response from him was “how did you know that! No one is supposed to know”. He said the company is fixing to do a lot of changes, told me not to say anything but they got a list of all to come. And he said it’s not good at all. I’m sure it will be like the demos were where they will have the opportunity to apply and Work for the third party.
We just got a new manager in optical. She said she had to go to Florida for training . I said I had never heard of that ever in the 8 years I have been there. They usually go to another store to train for three days and boom they are a manager who has no idea what they are doing. I asked her why and she said she was not able to talk about it right now. Now that is very strange. So has any other person heard that they're optical manager is going out of state for training. This is not a rumor, came straight from her mouth. Something is up
If optical is going away why is there job postings on indeed job site?
This is not new news for the West Coast. National Vision has operated inside Wal-Mart stores for over a decade. They have over 200 stores operating inside the company. California, Oregon, Washington. They are not buying us out. The company is making money by owning the vision centers. Just people stirring up gossip for no good reason.

You mean National Vision? That would make more sense.
They talked about this 13 years ago and it didn't happen then. Doubt it will now. People are probably digging for info online and saw the info dated 2004!!!
