Anyone know why we have to update our 'race' and acknowledge if we have a disability?

Its none of their business what race I am or if i am disabled. I choose "decline to identify"

The company can get tax breaks for hiring and employing certain people. ie. disabilities, veterans and etc.

Federal government requires theses stats on all employees of companies with government contracts.

Or a reduction in force (layoffs) are coming.

Everyone will be assigned a positive or negative number based on a number of demographic factors...age, race, s-x, disability, veteran of the armed forces, etc.

Those with a positive number are safe. Those with a negative sum are in trouble.
