Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

citrix is not family anymore

When I joined the company many years ago Citrix was family. Execs and VPs really cared about the company and the people working here. Over the last two years the VPs have been replaced with hired mercenaries that don't care and don't have any empathy or care for the employees

We are all expendable resources to be used to feed their career advancement goals and will have no hesitation in burning us when we are of no further use to them.

Maybe being acquired is the best thing for the company as it may flush out all these VP vultures making $500k/yr and vampire s---ing the company dry.

I'm sick of this company and don't see it as family anymore.

Notice how all the Elliott team manages to get millions in their own pockets.

You should try cisco. They have an intimate family atmosphere.

Actually, it's Wall St. that's s*cking America dry. This culture exists at ALL publicly traded companies... it's NOT better anywhere else.

Just wait until the year 2020 when half of the baby-boomers really put a strain on 401k's and faltering pension plans.

Mark didn't leave by choice. He was pushed out by the board and literally walked out police.

What was the package last time, two weeks per year?

I know I am on the list, and sadly I am not sure it even bothers me. I guess that tells you a lot about the state of things at this company that used to be a world-class tech giant. :(

I’ve been here 15 years - in that time I’ve seen a lot of change in the company culture and the general atmosphere. While the culture changed a bit as we grew, we still held on to some of the things that made me love working here. In the past few years, the greedy pieces of sh-- that are Elliot Management have been putting the final nails in our coffins. As long as the ultra-wealthy get richer, who cares what is left in the wake, right?

While I would miss many of the great people I’ve worked with over the years and some of the benefits like remote working, etc. I’m kind of hoping my name is on the list. Especially if the package is along the same lines of what’s been provided over the past few years. I simply am not sure I want to stay at this company any more with how things are going.

Good luck to all of my fellow Citrites, for those of you wanting to stay.

Fully agree with OP. Someone who joined Citrix 8-10 years back can see clear difference in culture. There was time when we felt like being in family. After Mark left everything changed but the revenue not much. All top guys are here only to make money for themselves. Time to move on...
