Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Performance Improvement Plans

Remaining employees are given new production standards that are unrealistic and unachievable. Front line employees are reporting to less credentialed managers/directors. PIP will lead to being fired - no severance. An obvious way to further cut costs. It's time to realize the over all plan is to sell. Remaining employees will stay on during the transition and eventuallly be let go.

To the commentator re: the need to increase production....using a whip to achieve this goal is ineffective!! Molina kept the best worker bees, right? No process changes have been put in place to increase production. Ask the layoff survivors what needs to change to improve production - you'd be surprised how helpful and intuitive we are.

Not everyone gets laid off in a merger. With the merger comes more members. Someone has to be the manpower. Some mergers take years to fully happen. Look at United Airlines and Continental airlines. Their flight attendants are not even fully merged and don't even work with each other. They are still basically completely different airlines wearing the same uniform. You as a passenger may not notice that but, they are. Someone still has to do the work. So, when you purchase a company like Molina with a few million members, you still need the front line employees. Everyone needs to calm down.

I don't find the comment a bad attitude - the poster is stating facts. Seems like they are preparing to be fired

The original poster here is spot on. What the heck are you talking about...other commenter...."You're not going to make it with that attitude!"? Make what? Survive the sale of the Molina members to a bigger better deal? This site gets more and more embarrassing everyday. There's no "making it" in these situations. Wake up. The gig us up. All signs point to acquisition. Everyone's days at Molina are numbered...without exception. I'm shocked y how unformed so many people are. Either that or they are SO committed to not seeing their own future in front of them...they are opting to ignore it.
