Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Why do people wish for so much inflicted pain targeted at Intel people

I struggle to understand the hatred directed towards Intel. I took the ERP last year and never regretted it. People's lives and families should be off limits. Geebus - some folks need to get a life.

Intel problem is those zero performer catch those they don't like and pill sh-- on them. On top of that, bastard give themselves a high rise(40%). That is why Intel has no moral now, capable folks willl run asap. Average folks playing politics, because that is only way to succeed at Intel.

Son (OP), ever sit across from someone for 12 years and all of a sudden watch security walk him out on a minutes notice.

Ever get a BE at mid year when you know the rookie FLM that gave it too you , know's that you dont deserve it.

Ever attend a BUM and learn your employer settled out of court in a class action lawsuit , agreeing to settle , though admitting no wrong (OF COURSE) for high tech salary collusion with other tech companies to keep salaries lower.

We do all this or wall street doesnt like us..........its really that simple.

OP here- I noticed 6 posts were deleted from some real trolls. I also agree that the largest haters were folks who were forced out due to low performance. The company has major problems but what multi billion company doesn't.

Not sure about other companies, but at least Qualcomm culture is fueled by arrogance and a powerful „us vs them“ attitude. So I wouldn‘t be surprised if a lot of the hate here came from Qualcomm employees.

The AMD employees I have met were pretty decent people who only had the (valid) complaint that Intel has been abusing its near-monopoly for decades now. So I doubt that they are behind this.

I think another group that is fueling the anti-Intel hate though are low performers who got kicked out and who really really hope now that the company will die without them, because obviously, their managers were clueless idiots who just didn‘t recognize their strengths, and they were the ones keeping the company afloat. ;-) I am sure there are quite a few people who think like that.

we are mostly engineers on this site.... we work our craft to pay for food and house over head for ourselves and our families. It's not a hobby. Anyone else out there not doing the same? Are you really doing what we do for fun?

I ask all of us to back off 100 meters and look at all this! What is this divide? It's BS that divides us... we all have the same goals and important personal responsibilities! Similar training & similar challenges. Don't let the politics and PC of the day separate a group of people that could actually lead this country out of this mess - last I checked - engineers fix multitude of problems using data, realities, and cautious judgement as a guide.

my 2 cents....

Intel takes your life and then kicks you to the curb, no love nor hate, just business
