I started out at Wal-Mart stores and the my last 10 years were at Sam's. As a company they are trying to compete with Amazon .com they want to be number one in e commerce. When it came time for our remodel at the beginning of 2017 only the bare minimum was done and most of that was in the fresh areas. I was talking to one of the people who deals directly with Bentonville and he informed me that the majority of all money the company spends is now going into e commerce. The associates will mostly be all part time and managers will have to take on more of the team lead responsibilities.The only family member that is involved with the company is the oldest son and he only sits on the board has nothing to do with the actual running of the company. They only care about the bottom line and the money they make. Can'y wait to see them go down like K=Mart.

Laid off a few years back after 28 years. I thought I was fairly unlucky, now see that there more people like me. It's really sad to see how little attention is paid to the worker. I get the shareholders, I get members but why put the worker at the bottom? It makes no budiness sense, if the worker is not good, everything else crumbles.

Now they r bringing in all members mark merchandise. Not giving us many choices... BJ's had way more to offer.

What a waste of life.
I've been at Sam's club now for almost 30 years from Pace membership warehouse,whom was bought by Sam's club and throughout these years the company has been consistently going down hill because of the greedy business practices and constantly treating good employees like crap,who moved on to better things. Now they only want p.t workers,who could give two craps about the company because it's only a pay check to them cause it's no reason to dedicate themselves to a company that clearly won't care about them. The model they trying to follow will mean failure for them and it's most loyal employees
