An add via contract work for Humana Cares. States, RN, LPN, LSW, for per diem. Sounds like more contract- and for in home. Not Humana, but a contracting co. Are they still hiring in Humana for HCMs? I did not see that role offered last week.
But nurses are billable under Medicare for home health, and CMS is now allowing telephonic support to be billed, so the role of the CM may morph to also do more telephonic in home, but with different populations
I am a PHC and already running low on daily blue alerts after disenrolling so many. I'm also getting a number of LTIH alerts, more so than ever before, so roster size continues to decrease.
That is a start, (over about a month or so) they still have to encourage us to get more to that Monitored LOI and if you do the math, even with alerts, not many to call per day and it is exhausting trying to reach at the usual rate. Fewer managed vs. monitored will HAVE to decrease HCMs. Humana will not pay us to sit around for nothing. We shall see soon.
It sounds like the pilot had about 40% of surveyed members go to monitored. How many nurses or other care managers will you need? It worries me
I guess we just have to wait and see how this all play out. Praying for anyone that is concerned about job security.
