Have just heard about big program reorg within 2LOD qa - all processes are being 'examined and updated to create efficiencies' with some completely being phased out. Supposed to be completed by end of 2017. Were told that it would not result in any layoffs but that we should be vocal about how we would like to 'participate in the new processes'. Any news?

Reorg's and process examinations? Very, very true. At a level I've never seen in a company.
No layoffs? Very, very NOT true. I've known quite a few people whose job was cut or is in jeopardy of being cut. Morale is low, people are having a hard time even knowing which business line they are (or soon will be) in on a daily basis and it's causing a lot of issues amongst the rank-and-file.
