Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Number of People Laid Off

I heard from people on the inside that about 650 in Long Beach this week and about 1600 nationwide by Friday.

I used to work in Corporate HR and still have friends there ..but most important is moving on to bigger and better things. Layoffs are part of corporate America, so they happen in a lot of companies big and small. Unfortunate but it's part of life. Best advice is always keeping a good network of professionals for references and recommendations, keeping skill set up, and have a good marketing plan for the next career.

This is not my post - I copied it from @Pgci0dv-ili and I thought it was good and deserved a separate discussion

If people take the severance Molina doesn't need to report it. The numbers are right.

Those numbers cannot possibly be correct. 650 in LB? Not a chance. Legally, Molina has to file a riff projection before it happens and they did. And the legal number they committed to in public for LB was only 25.

Healthcare layoffs happening everywhere. This isn't the usual "I'll be better off somewhere else!" situation. "Somewhere else" is laying off too. Those who are working are out of touch with whats going on, so they give advice like the poster below.

Once you get laid off, everything changes as you discover reality is nothing like what you've been told.
