Large Austin TV station reporting 108 layoffs for Oracle Austin office by Oct. 31. Anyone hear about this or know which departments will be affected?

This is clearly the microelectronics divestiture that happened a couple weeks ago. I was part of that 100+. This is just the WARN documentation being filed and finally getting picked up by news.
Unless I'm mistaken, aren't most or all of these 108 the people who were canned on 9/1 at the Riata site? My family member was among them, and that was everyone's last day on the job site. They're on O payroll until 10/31 (pay in lieu of notice, to use WARN terminology).
The gumshoes in Austin are now reporting on it because they've got wind of the WARN filing.

As for oracle informing employees, well as you can tell it's not a priority. That's how a f:ed up company that doesn't care about its employees behaves. Take more all, you could be next.
