After yesterdays additional cuts in the IT department and EPMO they announced a pretty substantial re-org of both departments. How do others that are still there feel about this new direction? Do the changes make sense or do you feel like the ship is sinking? I am hopeful that some of the fat has been cut, but I feel squeezed right now on the workload that I am stuck with. Would love to hear others thoughts here!

Agree. Some AVP positions are now vacated by Consultants. My guess is an eventual sell. I'm a result of project nickel. Let go. Best of luck to all remaining. God Speed!
We get it! Just sharing info while we are all here.
ACQUISITION!
There is not fat being cut. There's not reorg to make the company better. The company will be sold. The layoffs will continue in an attempt to raise the profit margin and increase stock price. It's been said over and over here on this page and elsewhere. When will people stop being so blind?
I can tell you my new interim AVP is a “Consultant”.
We haven't heard yet. There's an EIS all hands meeting Monday morning. Can't wait to find out any changes.
I do not appreciate your reference to the fat being cut. I was a manager worker bee not making nearly what Diretors in the PMO or other Managers without direct reports are making and was let go.
Business side needs to assess more clearly if projects are adding value. Discarding non-value add projects will reduce undue burden across the company.
That would help get all remaining employees out of bad squeeze.
