There are still quite a few ‘heavy weights’ left in IT. Too much overhead anyways, with multiple AVPs and Directors.
It is surprising that consultants from Sony like Kabani are still around with zero contributions while other important resources are let go.
Sorry to hear so many people got laid-off. Things are not rosy for the people left behind. But job market is good. I am a Project Manager. Recently interviewed at LA Care, they've tons of opportunities. The IT Recruiter there is a great guy and told me they are looking for Senior Configuration Analyst, Senior SQL DBA, Lead Oracle SOA/ Weblogic Administrator, Manager for Oracle SOA Middleware technologies, Release Engineer, IT Change Specialist etc to name a few. Hope some Molina aluminum find their new home there. All the best!
