Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

This is not good

General Electric close to being booted from Dow. Talk about destroying an over a century long legacy...

GE was one of the first components when the Dow debuted in 1897. Back then, the average included just a dozen companies. GE was removed and added back several times. It returned to the Dow in 1907 and has been there ever since.

The waste at NY GRC is unbelievable, it was impossible to get anything done on time due to union workers sitting on their asses and leaving at 3 pm and due to bloated bureaucracy when I was working there as a scientist, it was very demoralizing to try to trade favors and indirect bribes to move my projects forward on facilities priority list, so I had to quit after a lot of struggle. Time to cut some fat off that dinosaur before it dies.

Take a step back and look what's happening. This mess is heading for the scrap heap no doubt about it.

I remember when GM was removed from the DOW...just before it spiraled into bankruptcy.

Good the Dow is about to kick GE out? Good but to bad the Dow won’t come to GE Power and kick some people out. Starting with plant managers and cell leaders in Schenectady.
