Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Nurse attrition

If Rn's are targeted in the next round of layoffs (which seems to be the current rumor. Monitored status = less members that need calls = need for less nurses), what is the plan to address attrition? At the beginning of the year, with the first round of layoffs, when nurses were not even affected (other than a very few such as coaches) nurses left in droves. Just the fear that they could be on the chopping block, turn over was massive. And they filled those positions back up. It took a long time, and attrition has only just stabilized. So what happens if they do actually cut nurses? The ones not cut will also flee en masse is what. I dont think the program could weather the instability that would cause. But does upper management realize that?

The benefit grid that you mention that speaks to no personal health coach has nothing to do with the PHC. Telephonic care management benefit is exactly the same on the benefit grid for both nurse and phc. There are however personal health coaches out there in the system but they are another entity. We all can get a personal health coach through go 365

Those that have moved half their roster should be getting way over 70% since the ones moved off aren't counted anymore that's another reason we are being pushed to move chronic Utc etc so they don't count against you.

How in the hay can those that lost half their roster to Monitored members get the 70%? Whatever! From what it sounds, the over achievers who have been thinking how much smarter they are to not put their members over to Monitored will be left with quite the work load. Have at it...maybe the ones that have spoke up on how many they sent to Monitored are just 'playing along' and really hope they are not that fooled by the larger scheme of things.

poster, any other info you can share about if it's teams being cut, or as the other poster suggested, lower performing, or whatever criteria for individuals? We've heard LTIH, CHEs, how about PHC or hcm ss?

I have heard D Day is Nov 1, when the emails will come out....not sure if that is true, also heard that the HCM RN teams will be cut in half basically 60 teams down to 30 teams, or around that number. So the question is how are they going to make the cuts? will it be those that struggle to maintain MOC at 70% of contacts, cause that is the main focus right now, coaches are saying that they have to let COM's know if anyone is under the 70% for two weeks in a row, or just has trouble maintaining it. It really wouldnt make sense to cut HCM's that have been here a while, and know the system and are managing their rosters very well and are always above that number, because as we all know, once the chopping is done, those that are left will have even more responsibility and work than before, so if your not already on top of your game, its not gonna be any easier after the lay off.

Anytime someone says "I know trust me" but refuses to actually elaborate, well I immediately write that person off as someone just trying to stir the s**t pot. If you have actual information, then please share it. Otherwise you look like someone just reveling in drama by getting people worked up.

How are the cuts being done? By program, or by a certain percentage across the board? If HCM and others are being impacted in hah, are they looking to restructure based on roster size? That shouldn't impact HCM SS, since they aren't by roster

Look at next years benefits on mbrs. Most Im seeing will not have the personal health coaching - PHC. Look on hi page under stay connected. It shows mbrs will have nurses. Doesnt mean cuts won't happen to nurses though.

Nurses will be laid off as well as other disciplines you all will not be absorbing the rosters of PHC’s so please don’t believe the hype. Just wait on the email that’s coming soon!

So there is a rumor that after 80 days on monitored status and no activity then member is discharged from the program.

Below poster, so do you think that the whole "monitored status" change is just a way to make room on our rosters to accept a sudden large influx of members from PHC teams?

Post ID: @nzr+PO92MhG

I think the nurses will have plenty of members coming from the rosters of PHC's who will be cut. There are a lot of members in Live Healthy who have CBA scores that qualify them for nurse care management. Fact.
