Do not worry too much, I am one of those who is always optimistic - things will pan out good and we will not have layoffs here in Brookfield.

And what have you been doing to prepare for the layoffs? Gone back to school, job hunted, more training?
Here in Hillsboro there are rumours of a building move so I'm certain more than a few associates will be future endeavored. I have my doubts about how well that move can go. With PQA lab being managed by a know-it-all who has no real interest in helping anyone other than himself and is known here as The King of Lies and the admin of PDX lab being a bit of human blockade when it comes to supporting us, I fear the move, if it happens, going to fall flat. Neither of them seems especially well prepared for this.
I worked for Digital Channels for almost 5 years, every quarter it seemed they laid a handful of people off....no announcements or meetings, you just found out through the grapevine.
Basically managers are given the chance to get rid of folks they don't want w/o having to go through PIP process, just send them away with a check instead, easy.
Last year at this time management knew about and were planning for 2017 layoffs. At least nothing has been said yet regarding 2018.
Yeah, Right! If not in 2018 then soon thereafter, especially that our Data Center is scheduled to CLOSE in 2018! Prob WON'T close until 2020 or so but layoffs WILL occur!
