I worked for R.R. Donnelly at the Danville, KY plant. It's clean, excellent ventilation, catered cafeteria and good pay as well as great insurance and retirement. You just have to work. Something people don't want to do anymore

My company sold the edition bindery department. The whole industry is in decline. Machinists will be feeling the pinch soon, now that 3D printers are using metal.

Well I work in lacaster west and see some the books that come out of Minnesota. I can see why they are closing them. Lacaster division does 65%of the company total business and they just invested 20m on new comail equipment I we think we would be the last to go

I also heard that the IL plants are not safe. Where are you interviewing? I have a family and a layoff is not an option!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LSC was part of RRD and they are closing their Minnesota plant this month. I don't think any of the small plants are safe. They keep closing them. It is cheaper to do it at the biggies.
I heard there are layoffs coming in Minnesota related to a plant closing at the end of 1st quarter, anyone else hear the same?
