Whenever you think there will be no layoffs/job-cuts/RIFs they change the approach. Now all people are talking about job cuts in Union.

BBB is going bankrupt.. More Large Layoffs coming this week. (Oc 19).
They hire this guy to revamp the company and cut costs.. All they did was pay him 16 million to slash jobs and now the customers and staff suffer.
Do you think this CEO cares?? NO.. BBB goes chapter 11 in 6-12 months and this guy walks away with 16 million... DUmb people at the top.
Its ONLY ablut the share holders and those with the big investments will dump "everything" very very soon.
Florida southwest stores are run by a regional manager who doesn’t know his right from left; he manages by talking down to people. They should cut from way higher, including HR. All you need to do is have a conversation with these people to notice how insecure and unprofessional they are.
Poor little guys that work for the failing bbb we are all just sitting back watching each one fall off one by one! You claim to be concerned about all of us that got laid off, your only concerned about yourselves. Get out while you can, look at stocks, what a joke!
Before any more layoffs the company better streamline their operational procedures. A keyholder has to sign off on receiving discrepancies,approve rtvs,review and sign off on monthly reports etc. All of this is extremely time consuming so if there is only a SM and 1 ASM then every store will have high shrink since they say 80% of shrink are paperwork errors.
Did anyone ever get back to this HR contact in Jersey that was being talked about here ?
Well the new year is almost here and now we can hopefully watch the fireworks begin getting rid of some of the worthless that should have been gone in aug. excited hope I get to see them leaving!!!!
Has anyone been contacted by a rep. From Corp. HR? I received a call from HR asking me if I would be willing to answer some questions. I’m not sure if this is on the record or off the record, sounds a little shady but what else would you expect from Bed Bath and Beyond? I ask what kind of information they were interested in and that I may be willing to answer questions if I know it will help me or other laid off employees. They indicated that they are aware that we all have a wealth of knowledge regarding locations we had worked in, guess they want the dirt on current mgrs. and we know where the bodies are buried connected to all the altered records and lies that have been told. I ended the conversation saying please call me back in a day or two so I could think about it. Corporate should have been checking on these mgrs. long ago and rid of these lazy liars. I’m not the only one who got the call and the call did come from NJ, any thoughts?
Just got my last severance check, paid the cobra insurance and now what? Praying for a job soon that will be more than $15.00 I have been offered.
Anyone who says the Store Managers knew that 880 people were going to be let go doesn't know a damn thing. That is an absolute fact.
Why couldn’t they just start you out at an even 15 bucks?
I have 2 severance checks left. I interviewed 15 times and no one would pay me the bare bones minimum of $20.00. Now I am going to work as an hourly associate for $14.98 just to get my foot in the door. People you better be studying and learning a new trade because most retail will be gone. I went from almost $60,000. a year to $14.98 per hour. Feed my family, pay my house payment, payment car payment, utilities payment and food? ARE YOU KIDDING? Bed Bath and Beyond we gave you our all and you just hung us out to dry!
So half way with the severance and no job as of yet! Interviews yes but the money that has been offered is $12,000. to $20,000. difference, Gonna stick it out. There has to be something for me! Hope others are employed again.
