Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Ex-cludeED

I'm an SM, went to a divisional meeting with multiple Deans and Chairs to talk about Included. One of them asked why is a bookstore cashier here?

Only a rude idiot college bureaucrat would ask such a question.

Wow, home office is really bashing the stores on this site. There is only so much time in a day. Cut all the hours and focus shifts to keeping the store running and not building relationships. What is really sad is it shows how out of touch the home office. Did they ever work in a store, or just visit them.

Easy it’s called networking and planning. Taught in most high schools. Can be done months in advance. Lol!

How could the original poster "get to know" said faculty when he or she is expected to work with almost no help and cashier for eight hours? Give me a break, last responder.

Why didn’t you know your campus faculty well enough for them to know you are the manager? Lol sounds like your fault

This is exactly what Hey want them to think. For many years, the bookstore was the store manager. A lot of business was lost do to this. They want the schools to think that the bookstore works because of the company, not because of the manager. Unfortunately, you are also just a cashier in the eyes of the company too.
